12/24/2022: Final Days Downtown
We are going into our final week at our current location (24 E. Main St, Ephrata)! We are looking forward to moving to our new home (20 Snyder Ln, Ephrata)!

Our final day at our current location is Saturday December 31, 2022. We will be here regular hours (9a-3p). Once we close Downtown for the final time, we will remain CLOSED from Monday January 2, 2023 through Friday January 6, 2023. During this time our team will be working at moving our inventory, supplies, and equipment to our new location! We will reopen at our new location Saturday January 7, 2023 with regular hours (9a-3p). We encourage all of our customers to come see us at our new home!

During the week that we are closed, there are a few things you should know:
- Response times to phone calls/voicemails, emails, and Facebook/Instagram messages may be delayed.
- Our website will be unavailable for browsing inventory. Our website will go live for browsing by Saturday January 7, 2023 at the very latest.
- Customer pickups and deliveries will not occur during the week we are closed, unless pre-arranged in advance. Please plan accordingly.

11/19/2022: Moving Update
As we approach the holidays, we wanted to give an update about our moving plans and what that process will look like for our customers!

Our last day open at our Downtown Ephrata location will be Saturday December 31, 2022. We will then be CLOSED from Monday January 2 through Friday January 6, 2023 as we move to our new location, just 4 miles west on 322.

Our grand re-opening at our new location will be on Saturday January 7, 2023 beginning at 9am. At our grand re-opening, customers will be able to shop our newly renovated showroom, stocked fully with our quality new and used inventory that we have been delivering to our customers for the last (almost) 8 years!

You will still be able to shop at our Downtown Ephrata location through the end of this year! We have (and will continue) liquidating/discounting some extra things around the store - so you're not going to want to miss that! 

Delivery & Pickup Information:
We will CLOSED for customer pickups & deliveries from Saturday December 31 (our last day downtown) THROUGH Monday January 9, 2023. All customer pickups & deliveries will resume beginning on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at our new location. This will affect customers who purchase pieces within 30 days of our moving date, as we will still allow for up to 30 days for pickups and deliveries. 

With this shift for our move, we ask that you plan your purchasing/pickup/delivery plans with our move in mind and be considerate of this week of transition. We know that this shift may cause inconvenience to our customers, and we will continue to provide flexibility as we always have to make sure we are serving our customers as best as we can. During this time, we can be flexible with pickup and layaway expirations, delivery and pickup needs, and any other concerns. We just ask that you communicate with us as needed, to make this process as easy as possible for all involved.

PLEASE - do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are excited to share our new space with our customers and will continue to update as we get closer to our move!

9/23/2022: Moving Announcement

Greetings Hometown customers, family, and friends!

We are very excited to share some important news about Hometown Refurnishing...  WE’RE MOVING!  Don’t worry, we will only be 4 miles down the road in Clay township, still right along route 322, with easy access from all over the county.  We know you will love our new space as much as our current one, and we can’t wait to show it to you!  At our new location we will have a single level showroom, plenty of accessible parking and loading areas, and ample storage space for new and sold inventory.
 
With this news, however, we know many folks will be sad and disappointed that we are leaving our current building and downtown Ephrata.  Being a part of the downtown Ephrata community for the last 7.5 years has been a wonderful experience and we will absolutely miss it.  We are blessed to have been able to call the Sprecher Hardware building our home and to be part of an iconic building’s rich history.  We are excited to see Ephrata continue to grow and know that the Sprecher building will continue to have a bright future.  Although bittersweet, we ask that you celebrate with us, as we move into this new chapter for our business.  

Although our address will change, nothing else will!  Our website will continue to have all our live inventory posted daily, and our phone number and other contact information will remain the same as well.  Most importantly, our goal of providing quality new and used furniture at affordable prices will continue no matter where we are!

Our new store is in the process of renovations, so we are planning to move in early January 2023.  Please stay tuned for more information and upcoming dates regarding the move.
